This manual is designed for you the educator or facilitator to guide you in leading sessions with young people. Here you will find overviews of the five lesson plans, recommended activities, and other resources.

This website is for young people to explore in addition to the lessons. It is a youth friendly site covering in detail everything they need to know about sex, porn, and relationships. It is structured under five key themes to match the five lesson plans. There are links to other services and they can ask their own questions too. They can use it before or after lessons; and it is also accessible to young people who aren't taking part in lessons.

This program is designed to include five key lessons about sex, porn, and relationships.

4. Sex, sexuality, and gender diversity
5. Contraception and STI prevention

On each lesson page you will find an overview of key content (covered in more detail on the youth site ).

It is up to you how you structure each lesson. The lesson overviews include some recommended discussion points you can raise with the group. We have also provided activities that you can run during the sessions.

Lessons can be run face to face or online. It should be possible to fit a lesson into any time period you have available and with any number of young people. Just choose the activities that suit your situation.

These suggested activities (found here ) can be run in your lessons. Each includes a step-by-step guide to running the activity as well as any worksheets or other resources that are required. They are designed to be fun and engaging ways to consolidate the information in each lesson.

You are welcome to adapt them in any way you think is suitable.

This section (accessible here ) gives extra tips for working with young people and links to some key resources if you need more information about a particular topic.

These videos were created to discuss some of the topics covered in The Gist. They are embedded throughout the youth site for young people to view in their own time. You can also show them in your lessons and discuss with the group.
